Our story was born with the entrepreneurial initiative of Pietro Polli, originally from Omegna (VB), a city famous for the presence of many Italian

umbrella artisans. Pietro for family reasons moved to Liguria at the turn of the 1920s . As a shop boy in Ventimiglia (IM), he learned the ancient art of making and repairing umbrellas. In 1928 Pietro moved with his family to Alassio (SV) where he opened a small and modest shop in Via Robutti. umbrellas, travel items and the like.

Our 100-year history

Suddenly in 1963 Pietro passed away. His

sons took over and introduced new prestigious brands and novelties for the time such as Samsonite, Delsey and Borsalino. In the 1970s
the two sons split the commercial activity founding each of them its own shop.Severino, known as

Gianni, continued the sale in the headquarters in Via Mazzini assisted by his wife Giulia and starting from the 80s by their children Marina, Piero and later Franco. he

retires from the business entrusting it to his children who continue it with a new entrepreneurial spirit by introducing new references and brands such as Roncato, Eastpak, American Tourister and Avirex.

The current headquarters, completely renovated, has been located since March 2008 in Via Don Minzoni at number 20, a stone's throw from the “Budello ” in Alassio, a real modern pulsating artery of the Alassian trade, and is run by Franco who expands the offer by introducing new brands and products.
